CTE (Consent to Establish) is the preliminary clearance required from the Gujarat Pollution Control Board before starting industrial construction. CTO (Consent to Operate) is the subsequent approval required to begin plant operations, verifying that effluent and stack control systems meet board standards.

SEBI mandates the Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report (BRSR) for the top 1,000 listed companies by market capitalization. The BRSR Core guidelines require third-party assurance for key KPIs, and are progressively extending requirements down to supply chain vendors.
